Apple Loppet, Telemark

Telemark Friends and Family Spring Apple Loppet, Saturday March 9th.
Let’s celebrate the ski season! Please join us for the Telemark Friends & Family Spring Apple Loppet – Saturday March 9th.
Once again we will be running the Telemark Apple Loppet as a fun timed participation event with some differences from a regular Loppet.
5 different courses to choose from 1.5km – 3km – 7.5km – 15km – 30km based upon our traditional Loppet distances. Stadium Layout
Ski classic or skate technique or mix it up and ski 1/2 & 1/2. There is no relay event.
Challenge the distance that best suits your mood and ability – No age categories
Start anytime between 8am and 11am (must finish by 2pm)
Pick up a timing chip in the stadium area
Cross the start line to activate your timing chip
Ski your chosen course with your friends and family, Youth Programs group or all by yourself
Cross the finish line to get your official time
No bibs, aid stations, prizes or medals
BBQ included for all registered participants
Music and fun for everybody
Low cost – Only $12 for everybody.

Nickel Plate St Patrick’s Day Club Loppet
Sunday March 17th
10:00 am Start time
Freestyle (a classic track will be set for those wanting to do classic)
Distances: 0.5, 1.5, 5, 10, 15, 25 km
Come enjoy great spring skiing in the southern Okanagan and take part in a low key, fun filled event. We’re inviting club members of other local BC clubs to participate in our Nickel Plate club loppet. If you’re a 2023/24 member of your CCBC affiliated club (and have paid the CCBC and Nordiq Canada fees through your club membership) then Nickel Plate will grant you guest membership as part of your loppet fee, making you eligible to participate in our club’s event.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon
April 6th and 7th
Great snow!
We’ve been asked by a few of you about our snow. We get it; it’s been a challenging snow year
in most of North America. A recent warming trend consolidated our base, we’ve had over 50cm
of snow since then, and the conditions are amazing. All trails are open, with beautiful tracks and
corduroy. Even though we cannot fully predict the weather, we normally have a LOT of
snow throughout March and April and into May (and sometimes June!). So we fully anticipate
that all will be well for the event.

Movie Night at the S2S! New in 2024!
We’re hosting the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival this year on the Saturday
evening just to add to the excitement of the Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon. Only $25,
starts at 6:30pm, and at the NATC in SilverStar Village. We think tickets may go quickly, so buy
your ticket now!
