Stride & Glide is almost Here!


Prizes for the Stride and Glide for KGH for Cardiac Care Fundraiser.


The Kelowna Nordic Stride and Glide fundraiser for KGH Cardiac Care is back for its fourth and final year with a fun ski/snowshoe event and great prizes on February 10th.


First thing firsts. All those who pay $20.00, and register will receive a cool ski buff from Kelowna Subaru, a lunch of bratwurst, samosa, beer and soft drinks. That’s just for showing up!


Participants who create a landing page and raise over $100.00 will be entered into a draw to win gift certificates for lessons from Okanagan Bike and ski. And gift certificates from Kelowna Cycle, Fresh Air, The Barbers Chair, Fisherman’s Market, McCulloch Pub and Wine Tastings from the View Winery.


Those who raise over $500.00 will be entered into a draw for Tubbs Snowshoes from Fresh Air and vintage port from Taylor Fladgate.


Those who raise over $1,000.00 will be entered into a draw for a for two free adult memberships at Kelowna Nordic Ski and Snowshoe club, a dinner for two at Waterfront Wines, valued at $150.00 and a special wine and food paired tasting at Cedar Creek Winery for four ($140.00 value).


The top fundraiser will receive a round of golf for four at the Gallagher’s Canyon Championship course with carts, ($700.00 value).


The second-place fundraiser will receive a pair of Maddshus Skintech Classic Cross Country skis.


Top Team Prizes. The team that raises the most funds will receive a 6X$25.00 gift certificates for lunch or dinner at a bistro in Kelowna.


Best Dress Team. The team that raises $1000.00 or more and is judged to the be the best dressed will receive 6X$25.00 gift certificates for lunch or dinner at a bistro in Kelowna. And, they will have their picture immortalized on Facebook and KGH Foundation archives.
